Yamyatna is a very easily comprehensible compilation of 346 verses and explanation of 28 pits of hell. Yamyatna is a unique scripture, since it comprises of scanned pictorial images and is a version of Yamdand written by Pu. Siddhanand Swami. This scripture was published by Shree Swaminarayan Mandir - Kundaldham, and Karelibaug, Vadodara on 29th October, 2008. With the grace of Swaminarayan Bhagwan we have all attained the priceless human form. Not many can digest the fact that in our human birth, we are meant to worship the God, become a devotee in the holy fellowship, and perform virtuous actions. Such people are bound by affection and the materialistic ways of this world. They are then duty-bound till the end of their lives and are then subjected to the tortures of hell after death. The miseries, and the pains enforced upon the soul are described herein. Those who do not comply with the human principles and righteousness as described by God, have to suffer in the afterlife. These pictorial images are descriptive to the point where we will realize the sufferings of hell. Resorting to Yamyatna wholeheartedly would help us understand the mandate of Swaminarayan Bhagwan, and His prescriptions for us. This would in turn help us tread on the right track in our spiritual journey.
